LOUVERED RESIDENCE
This residential project embodies a contemporary design language with open planning and a calm blue-toned interior palette. The renovation transforms a 60-year-old structure into a modern, comfortable home while maintaining its architectural soul.
A key focus of the design was sustainability through adaptive reuse. Wherever possible, existing structural walls were retained, and a significant portion of the old bricks and materials were reused, reducing construction waste and preserving the essence of the original building.
The spatial layout emphasizes openness and visual continuity. The living, dining, and courtyard areas flow seamlessly into one another, allowing natural light and ventilation to travel freely throughout the home. The centrally positioned courtyard enhances the sense of connection with nature, creates a refreshing visual anchor, and improves air circulation.
Blue accents across the interiors add a sense of serenity, balancing the warm textures of reused materials and contemporary finishes. The result is a home that merges old-world charm with modern aesthetics—respecting the past while embracing the future
